Hello, Mohammed. That is an important question and a very significant topic. Sleep accounts for a third of our lives and serves as our life's energy charger. Personally, I place great importance on sleep because, without it, both energy levels and mood become unbalanced.

Yes, it is possible to have a sleep quality score of 70 (good) while recovery is below 20% (low), simply because they measure different things.

Sleep quality often depends on sleep duration, nighttime awakenings, movement, and sleep consistency.
Recovery, on the other hand, is influenced more by factors such as heart rate during sleep, HRV (heart rate variability), breathing, body temperature, stress, dehydration, minor illness, alcohol consumption, late-night eating, or a lack of deep sleep.

The most effective ways to improve sleep are:

1. Maintaining a consistent sleep and wake-up time every day.
2. Getting sunlight in the morning and reducing lighting and screen time in the evening.
3. Stopping caffeine intake in the afternoon.
4. Avoiding heavy meals within three hours of bedtime.
5. Keeping the bedroom cool, dark, and quiet.
6. Following a wind-down routine before bed, such as reading, breathing exercises, or light stretching.
7. Engaging in light daytime activity, even just a 20–30 minute walk.

Is low recovery a cause for concern?
If it happens for just one night, there is usually no need to worry.
It could be due to stress, the onset of an illness, dehydration, a late dinner, caffeine, or irregular sleep patterns. Pay closer attention and consult a sleep specialist if the issue persists for 3–5 consecutive days* or is accompanied by any of the following:
- Severe morning fatigue
- Heart palpitations or shortness of breath
- Loud snoring or pauses in breathing during sleep
- Morning headaches
- Excessive daytime sleepiness
- A noticeable increase in resting heart rate

In summary, use the watch to monitor trends rather than for diagnosis. If recovery scores are consistently low despite adequate sleep—or if symptoms are present—it is best to see a doctor to potentially evaluate for sleep apnea or other underlying causes.

Wishing you continued health and well-being.
